Hong Kong Participation in Venice Biennale – Now and Future

The artists anothermountainman (Stanley Wong), Chan Yuk-keung and the curator, Sabrina Fung, will share their experiences and show the making of the Hong Kong exhibition at the 51st Venice Biennale during a special event at Hong Kong Fringe Club's Studio Theatre next Wednesday, July 13, 2005 at 6pm.  Benny Chia, Director of the Fringe Club, will moderate.

The curators, Johnson Chang and Kith Tsang, as well as the artists for the Hong Kong exhibitions at the 49th and 50th Venice Biennales will join a discussion on Hong Kong's future participation at the Biennale.

Art installations by anothermountainman and Chan Yuk-keung are presented at the Hong Kong Exhibition.  Curated by Sabrina Fung, the exhibition is titled "investigation of a journey to the west by micro + polo".  It opened on June 10 and will continue until November 06, 2005.

This is the third time for the Hong Kong Arts Development Council to present the works of Hong Kong visual artists at the Venice Biennale under the banner of "Hong Kong, China".
