
Hong Kong Arts Development Council (HKADC) wins the "Golden Prize Web Accessibility" in recognition of its effort in providing a user-friendly and easily accessible internet environment. This is the third time for HKADC to win the Web Care Award since it was first presented in 2002.
Web Care Award 2005 is organised by Internet Professional Association to promote web accessibility and barrier-free information exchange. More than 120 organizations participate this year, including government departments, private companies and civil societies. The participanting websites not only have to meet certain criteria, but in order to win the golden prize, it has to reach more stringent standards such as the capabilities in handling color contrasts and bilingual languages. Since HKADC website underwent a facelift in June, it is more accessible and enjoyable for web readers.
