Hong Kong Arts Development Council (ADC) is proud to receive the "Excellence Prize" of Web Care Award 2006 in recognition of its effort in providing a user-friendly and easily accessible internet environment. This is the fourth time for ADC to win the award since it was first presented in 2002.
The Award is organised by the Internet Professional Association (iProA) as one of the significant events under its "e-inclusion Campaign". With a vision to promote web accessibility and the barrier-free environment information exchange, public and private organisations are encouraged to provide easily accessible websites to share the benefits of internet development with the needy communities. This year, more than 90 organisations are awarded and only 13 of them meet the highest requirements and awarded the "Excellence Prize".
Awarded websites have to meet the criteria set by the Association in terms of effective communications, proper use of language and clever use of graphic design. "Excellence Prize" awarded websites are required to reach more stringent international standard to enable visually impaired and needy communities to access websites easily.
ADC is dedicated to provide an easily accessible and user-friendly website, and continues to enhance its technical support to facilitate the public to access arts and cultural information conveniently. Besides local arts and cultural events and grants information, reports and publications as well as arts promotion resources are also available in the website. Welcome to visit our website to experience the barrier-free web surfing.
