The Hong Kong Arts Development Council (ADC) will participate in the 3rd China (Shenzhen) International Cultural Industry Fair (ICIF) from 17 to 20 May to demonstrate the diversity of Hong Kong arts to the international audience.

Following last year's success, the ADC will take part in the Fair again this year to facilitate cultural exchange and foster collaboration with the mainland and overseas arts counterparts. A pavilion will be set up at the International Performing Hall (Hall no.5, Counter no: B001, B002, B012, B013) to introduce the works of the ADC, major local arts group and publications supported by the ADC in the past year. "Hong Kong's participation in the Prague Quadrennial 2007" (by Hong Kong Association of Theatre Technicians and Scenographers), a cultural exchange project supported by the ADC will also be featured. To give the audience a more comprehensive view of the Hong Kong art scene, a brochure highlighting various local arts group and contact information will be distributed during the Fair.

To facilitate the exchange of ideas on arts development in the Pearl River Delta Region, Dr. Desmond Hui, Director of Centre for Cultural Policy Research of the University of Hong Kong, will give a talk on "The Development of Cultural Industrial Parks and Clusters" at the "2007 China International Cultural Industry Forum" from 17 to 18 May at the Theatre of Shenzhen OCT East.

The 3rd ICIF will be held from 17 to 20 May at Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center. The Fair has been established as one of the recognized national and international art fairs to promote the development of Chinese cultural industry.
