With increasing support from local public transport companies, we can now appreciate the beauty of arts when travelling in the city. To foster better communication between public transport companies and the arts community, the Hong Kong Arts Development Council (ADC) organises the seminar on "Travelling with Arts" to explore how the two sectors can join hands in presenting arts on vehicles.
Guest speakers sharing their experiences in organising arts activities are Ms. May Wong (Corporate Relations Manager, MTR Corporation), Ms. Eva Law (Senior Corporate Communications Manager, Kowloon-Canton Railway Corporation), Ms. Beatrice Wong (Public Affairs Manager, Citybus Limited/ New World First Bus Services Limited), Ms. Wynne Siu (Assistant Corporate Communications Manager, New World First Ferry Services Limited) and Ms. Noel Ng (Assistant Curator 1 (Public Art), Art Promotion Office). They will also discuss the possibilities of cooperating with the arts practitioners to encourage the diverse development of arts in the community. Mr. Ko Tin-lung, Artistic Director of Chung Ying Theatre Company, will be the moderator of this seminar.
The seminar will be held from 3pm to 5:30pm this Thursday (28 June) at Agnès b. Cinema, Upper Basement, Hong Kong Arts Centre, 2 Harbour Road, Wan Chai. The seminar will be conducted in Cantonese. Admission is free. Seats are reserved on a first-come-first-served basis.
Seminar on "Travelling with Arts" is one of the series of "Seminars on the New Cooperation Mode between the Arts Community and the Society" which aims to explore potential cooperation modes between the arts community and other sectors of the society. Past seminars on "Arts in Commercial Premises", "Creative Arts Education" and "Arts in the Community" were well-received with over a hundred participants per session.
